Interactive timelines for your articles
Lay out a long story so readers can see all of it and zoom into the day that matters. Embed the timeline in your article. When the story moves, edit the timeline once and every embed shows the change the next time it loads.

Embeds that show your latest edits
The embed loads the current version of the timeline each time it opens. When you add events, you do not replace the embed code.
A lane for each person or thread
Readers can see what each person, agency or country did at the same moment, and hide the lanes they do not need.
Years of background and the key day
One timeline can cover a decade of background and still show the hours of the key day. More events appear as readers zoom in.
Sources on every event
Attach links, titles and quotes to each event. Readers see them when they open the event.
Import from TimelineJS
Import your TimelineJS spreadsheet as a CSV. The Headline, Text, Year, Month and Day columns are matched, and the Group column becomes lanes.
Embeds that match your site
With Creator, you can remove the badge and set the embed’s theme and accent colour, or hide its title.

Compare all plansCommon questions
Will the embed work in my CMS?
The embed is an iframe. It works in any page or CMS that accepts iframe embeds.
What happens to the embed if your service is down?
An embed depends on our service, like any hosted embed. Export a PNG and a CSV of each timeline so you always have a copy.
Can I keep a draft private before it is published?
Yes. Every timeline is private until you share it. With Pro you can send a draft by a link that needs a password.
Can readers search the timeline?
Yes. Readers can search a timeline, filter it by tag, or switch to a list of every event.
